Organic and artificial systems

my masterwork explores parallels between nature and urban infrastructure through the relationship between visible surface networks and hidden underground systems. plant root systems and urban utility networks are connected by shared principles of nutrient flow, transport, and sustaining life. the fire hose used as the primary material is reinterpreted as plant fibre, detached from its industrial associations. consisting of autonomous sculptures, the installation explores the intersections between natural and artificial structures, as well as the role of flow in shaping space. photographer: tamás cseke
