Black on Black

project overview
the black on black project explores the relationship between surface, light, and material through screen-printing experiments. the compositions are created exclusively in black, where visual distinctions are created not by colors but by differing light reflective surfaces, layering, and textures. as the lighting changes, the prints constantly take on new characteristics, so the pattern becomes fully perceptible only from certain viewpoints. the aim of the project was to explore how screen printing can transform a surface into a three-dimensional, tactile, and dynamically changing visual experience. photographer: péter bakó
